Relação entre características dos terapeutas e contributos para a força da aliança terapêutica no contexto da terapia familiar sistémica

Abstract

O presente estudo exploratório tem como principal objetivo perceber, no contexto da terapia familiar, de que forma determinadas características pessoais (sexo, idade, estado civil) e profissionais (nível de formação, experiência clínica) dos terapeutas se relacionam com os seus contributos para a aliança terapêutica. A prossecução desse objetivo foi operacionalizada tendo por base a análise da 1ª sessão e recorrendo à utilização do SOFTA-o (System for Observing Family Therapy Alliances), o qual permite uma análise observacional dos contributos verbais, não-verbais, positivos e negativos para a aliança dos 31 terapeutas que compõem a amostra. Os resultados demonstraram que, os terapeutas com mais de 40 anos, casados, com formação completa e/ou incompleta e com alguma ou muita experiência clínica foram os que contribuíram mais para a construção da aliança nas dimensões Envolvimento e Conexão Emocional. Nas dimensões Segurança e Partilha de Objetivos da aliança nenhuma das variáveis obtiveram diferenças significativas. Posteriormente, são discutidas algumas hipóteses que permitem explicar os resultados obtidos tendo em conta as características dos terapeutas.

This exploratory study has as main objective to perceive, in the context of family therapy, how certain personal characteristics (sex, age, marital status) and professional (level of training, clinical experience) relate the therapists to their contributions in the therapeutic alliance. The pursuit of this objective was operationalized based on the analysis of the 1st session and through the use of SOFTA-o (System for Observing Family Therapy Alliances), which allows an observational analysis of the contributions verbal, nonverbal, positive and negative of 31 therapists in the sample. The results demonstrate that therapists with more than 40 years, married, with full training and/or incomplete and some or a lot of clinical experience were the contributed more to building the alliance of dimensions Engagement and Emotional Connection. The dimensions Security and Sharing Objectives the alliance none of the variables obtained significant differences. Therefore, we discuss some assumptions that allow us to explain the results obtained taking into account the characteristics of therapists
