Representações sociais da deficiência mental e integração socioprofissional

Abstract

O presente estudo teve como objectivo identificar as representações sociais de actores-chave do processo de integração, que trabalham directamente com pessoas com deficiência mental. Realizando uma breve revisão da literatura, foi possível constatar que sobre a integração socioprofissional de pessoas com deficiência mental, o suporte bibliográfico é ainda escasso. Como tal, é nossa intenção que esta investigação contribua para estabelecer uma ponte entre a teoria das representações sociais e a integração socioprofissional, em mercado normal de trabalho, deste tipo de população. Pretendemos, também, discutir de que forma é que a representação deste grupo-alvo nos poderá fornecer uma perspectiva inicial das razões que conduzem ao actual estado deste processo, nomeadamente, a elevada taxa de desemprego desta população.

The aim of this study was to identify the social representations of keyactors in the integration process, working directly with people with mental disability. Giving a brief review of the literature, was note possible established that about what the socio-professional integration of with mental disability, the bibliographic support is still scarce. As such, it is our intention that this research will help to establish a bridge between the theory of social representations and socio-professional integration, in the regular labor market, this type of population. We also, wanted to discuss how it is that the representation of this target group could provide us with an initial forecast of the reasons leading to the current state of this process, particular, the high unemployment of this population.
