dc.description.abstract | The stakeholders approach is, currently, an emergent and inseparable reality of the organizational world. The present work is inserted in the range of the theory of stakeholders, specially Mitchell, Agle and Wood (1997) stakeholders typology, and intends to analyze the way the managers attribute to the partners/shareholders and to the collaborators, salience (importance), through three attributes: power, legitimacy and urgency; and consequently choose, in a conflict situation, for some strategy of conflict management: integration, accommodation, domain and avoidance, according to Rahim’s model (1983). In the persecution of this goal, the questionnaires of " Stakeholders’s Management" from Carvalho (2007) and the ROCI-II - individual form of Dimas (2007), have been used. Later, a set of hypotheses of inquiry have been tested, and their results allowed to corroborate that the strategy of conflicts management "domain" is the most used by the manager when he attributes more power to the partners/shareholders, and is less used when the manager attributes more urgency to this precise group. It has been also demonstrated that, to the similarity of other previous studies (Dimas, 2007; Rahim and Buntzman, 1989), the strategies of conflicts management "integration" is the most applied by the inquired ones. The study allowed us, overall, to verify that despite the results we obtained, much is still to be explained concerning the relation between these two variables, and that the need of future inquiries in this range is a clear reality. | por |
