Qualidade de vida em função do ciclo vital da família

Abstract

O presente estudo avalia as relações existentes entre a percepção de qualidade de vida subjectiva e as etapas do ciclo vital. Avalia, ainda, a influência do género, do nível sócio económico e das formas de família relativamente à percepção de qualidade de vida subjectiva. O estudo baseia-se numa amostra de 295 sujeitos da população geral, com idades compreendidas entre os 20 e os 87 anos, que se disponibilizaram voluntariamente a participar nesta investigação. A recolha de dados realizouse através de entrevistas individuais e estruturadas, tendo como suporte o questionário Quality of Life – Formulário Parental (QOL, Olson & Barnes, 1982). Os resultados alcançados não revelaram diferenças significativas na percepção da qualidade de vida ao longo das etapas do ciclo vital, nem foram encontradas diferenças quanto ao género. Contudo, os dados obtidos revelam que o nível sócio-económico e as formas de família assumem um peso significativo na percepção de qualidade de vida subjectiva dos seus elementos

This study examines the relationship existing between perception of subjective quality of life and the family life cycle. Evaluates, in addition, the influence of gender, level of socio economic and forms of family over the perception of subjective quality of life. The study is based on a sample of 295 subjects of the general population, aged between 20 and 87 years old, who agreed to voluntarily participate in this research. Data collection took place through personal interviews and structured, supported by the Quality of Life questionnaire - Form Parental (QOL, Barnes & Olson, 1982). The results revealed no significant differences in the perception of the quality of life along the stages of the life cycle, nor were differences as to gender. However, data show that the socio-economic level and the forms of family have a significant weight in the perception of subjective quality of life.
