Abstract: Considerando que o clima organizacional é o palco onde o indivíduo coloca as suas projecções, os seus desejos e desempenha seu papel (Dejours, 1985) e que influencia directamente a satisfação e o rendimento dos membros de uma organização (Brunet, 1992), procurou-se com este estudo, conhecer a percepção dos professores acerca do clima da sua organização, tendo em conta várias dimensões: a relação entre os professores da escola e do agrupamento; a relação entre o agrupamento e a comunidade e a imagem dos professores relativamente aos alunos e ao conselho executivo. O estudo teve como finalidade caracterizar o clima de escola, com base no olhar dos docentes e, com base nesse olhar, identificar os pontos fortes e os pontos fracos da organização, com vista ao diagnóstico necessário e à compreensão da vida na escola, conducente a uma melhoria da qualidade de vida e da educação, na organização em causa. Para a concretização destes objectivos, efectuou-se um estudo de natureza quantitativa e descritiva, tendo sido elaborado um questionário, realizado intencionalmente para este estudo, para proceder à recolha de dados junto dos professores. Esta investigação incidiu em dois agrupamentos escolares num concelho do litoral norte do país, com características semi-urbanas. A análise dos dados, assim obtidos, indicou existir uma percepção positiva do clima de escola, em quase todos os aspectos considerados. Neste âmbito, concluiu-se que os professores têm uma imagem positiva da organização a que pertencem, considerando existir um bom clima relacional entre professores da escola, entre professores do agrupamento e entre o agrupamento e a comunidade. Com base na análise dos dados, verificamos também que os docentes possuem uma boa imagem dos alunos e do conselho executivo.
Considering that the organizational area is the stage where the individual places projections, his desires and performs his role (Dejours, 1985) and has a direct influence. Towards the satisfaction and members performance income the organization (Brunet, 1992), seeking with this essay, to Know the perception of teachers about the organizational climate, taking into account several dimensions (issues): the relation between the school teachers and the school group; the relation between the school group and the community; and the teachers image relatively to the students and to the executive administration. The main aim of this study was to describe the character of the school climate, taking into account the teacher’s perspective and, based on that to identify the strong and weak points of the organization, for necessary diagnosis and the comprehension of school climate, with the purpose to improve the quality of life and education, in organization itself. In order to accomplish this goal, we carried out a study of quantitative and descriptive nature of the same, having been elaborated a quiz intentionally made for this study, in order to proceed the collection of data with the teachers. This investigation has targeted two school groups in a district in the Northwest coast of the country, with semi-urban characteristics. The analysis of these obtained data, has clarified the existence of a positive perception of the school climate, in almost every aspects, before mentioned. So, we may arrive to the conclusion that the teachers have a positive image of the organization they belong, considering the exhistance of a good relation climate among the school teachers, among group teachers and among the executive administration and the community. Based on the data analysis, we also realized that the teachers have a good image of the students and of the school executive administration.
