Percursos de vida de pessoas em situação de sem-abrigo: Estudo de caso e atividades de desenvolvimento de competências pessoais, sociais e pré-profissionais na Equipa de Apoio Social Direto da Associação Integrar

Abstract

As pessoas em situação de sem-abrigo enfrentam inúmeros desafios ao longo de suas vidas, que podem variar de acordo com as circunstâncias individuais de cada uma, vivemdo umas em contexto de rua por opção e outras por não terem outra saída. O presente relatório descreve as atividades desenvolvidas e tarefas realizadas no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Ciências da Educação da Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra, na Equipa de Apoio Social Direto (EASD) da Associação Integrar de Coimbra. Na EASD foram acompanhados diversos utentes, que se encontram em situação de grande vulnerabilidade social, como pessoas em situação de sem-abrigo, toxicodependentes e trabalhadores/as do sexo. Neste contexto focado no apoio social, as atividades de estágio passaram pela promoção de competências pessoais, sociais e pré-profissionais através do desenvolvimento de ações de treino de competências, para além da participação nos projetos que decorreram na Associação e do acompanhamento através dos giros noturnos e diurnos. Ao longo do relatório são abordados aspetos relacionados com a realidade das pessoas em situação de sem-abrigo, é explorada a vertente familiar destas pessoas e relembrada a importância da intervenção socioeducativa nestes contextos. Na parte prática, apresentamos o estudo de caso realizado, focada na história de vida e relações familiares de um dos utentes da Associação, e a intervenção que realizámos com utentes com o objetivo de proporcionar um suporte emocional e prático para lidar com as perdas e enfrentar os desafios relacionados com o processo do luto.

People experiencing homelessness face numerous challenges throughout their lives, which can vary depending on each individual's circumstances, some of whom choose to live on the streets while others have no other option.This report describes the activities developed and tasks carried out within the scope of the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, in the Direct Social Support Team (Equipa de Apoio Social Direto – EASD) of Associação Integrar in Coimbra.At EASD, several users were monitored, who are in a situation of great social vulnerability, such as homeless people, drug dependents and sex workers. In this context focused on social support, internship activities included the promotion of personal, social and pre-professional skills through the development of skills training actions, in addition to participation in projects conducted by the Association and accompanying users during both night and daytime shifts.Throughout the report, aspects related to the reality of people experiencing homeless are addressed, the family aspect of these people is explored and the importance of promoting and protecting their health is recalled, as well as the importance of socioeducational intervention in these contexts.
