Alteridades vegetais: emaranhamentos multiespecíficos com as plantas

Abstract

Os artigos reunidos neste dossiê se voltam, sobretudo, para os modos indígenas de viver e habitar o mundo, no qual participam uma pluralidade de agentes, que protagonizam com os humanos histórias mais-que-humanas. As chamadas “interações vegetais” nos convidam a experimentar ontologias e epistemologias outras, em vista de abrir espaço para novas ferramentas conceituais, menos centradas na humanidade enquanto sua figura paradigmática. Reunimos ensaios que destacam os deslocamentos que os conhecimentos tradicionais dos povos indígenas aportam às reflexões atuais da chamada “virada vegetal”, bem como aqueles que se guiam pela agência dos seres vegetais, tecendo novas alianças diante do atual aprofundamento da crise ambiental e climática.

The articles reunited in this special issue deal primarily with the indigenous ways of living and inhabiting the world, where a plurality of agents play the leading role along with humans, more-than-human histories. The so-called "vegetal interactions" invite us to experiment with distinct ontologies and epistemologies, to open space for new conceptual tools, less centered in the human as its paradigmatical figure. Here are reunited essays that highlight the displacement that indigenous traditional knowledge brings to the present reflections on the "vegetal turn" and texts guided by the agency of vegetal beings, knitting new alliances in the face of the worsening of the environmental and climatic crisis.
