Desenvolvimento da competência oral através de ambientes digitais

Abstract

Recently, due to the pandemic, we were forced to recognize the benefits of digital tools for remote teaching. Nevertheless, there’s still hesitation when it comes to the use of these tools in class and uncertainty regarding their influence on students. Now that we have returned to school, there’s the opportunity to eliminate that hesitation and explore the use of digital tools. The aim of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of digital tools for the development of speaking skills in language learning. In case they prove to be effective, it’s necessary to analyze how we can use them. Therefore, throughout this internship, I have tried to use digital tools to create some lessons and examine their influence in the perception and performance of students.First, I analyze the chronological timeline of technology in education. Subsequently, I identify some types of digital tools we can use nowadays and their advantages and disadvantages in the classroom. In addition, I examine a range of teaching methodologies and activities which I use in my English and French classes for the development of speaking through the use of digital tools.Finally, we link the sub-themes explored in both stages. I analyze how digital tools can be used in the implementation of methodologies for the teaching of speaking in language learning. The practical application of this study and respective results will be examined through the detailed analysis of the corpus I collected and my personal experience.

Recentemente, devido à pandemia, fomos obrigados a reconhecer os benefícios dos recursos digitais e a implementá-los num sistema de ensino remoto. No entanto, ainda há alguma hesitação na utilização do digital e incerteza em relação ao seu impacto na aprendizagem dos alunos. Agora, de regresso ao ensino presencial, há a oportunidade de eliminar esta hesitação e explorar, de um modo concreto, esse aspeto.Este Relatório tem por objetivo examinar a eficácia de recursos digitais no desenvolvimento da competência oral em língua estrangeira. No caso de se provarem eficazes, é necessário analisar o modo como os podemos utilizar. Assim, ao longo do estágio, procurei implementar recursos digitais na conceção de algumas aulas e analisar a influência que estes exercem na perceção e desempenho dos alunos.Numa primeira fase, é feito um breve resumo cronológico da evolução do digital na educação. Posteriormente, identificam-se alguns tipos de recursos digitais que se podem utilizar atualmente e as suas vantagens e desvantagens em sala de aula. Numa segunda fase, explora-se a competência oral no ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras e o tipo de desafios que representa a implementação desses recursos. Adicionalmente, identificam-se algumas metodologias de ensino-aprendizagem e atividades que usam esses recursos para desenvolver a competência oral.Por fim, interligam-se os subtemas explorados em cada fase. É analisado o modo como podemos utilizar recursos digitais na implementação das metodologias de ensino-aprendizagem da competência oral em aulas de Inglês e de Francês. A aplicação prática deste estudo e respetivos resultados será examinado, recorrendo essencialmente à análise pormenorizada de um corpus recolhido, mas também à experiência pessoal como conhecimento empírico relevante.
