Abstract

The following internship report aims to address the first French Invasion, in Portugal and in the Vimeiro region, with the main objective of explaining how this invasion impacted the Portuguese administration, particularly in the legal and financial fields.The practical aspect of this report took place at the BVIC (Battle of Vimeiro Interpretation Center), where it was quite interesting to understand, in practice, the working dynamics of this type of cultural equipment. Another relevant point of this internship was understanding the way in which it has had an influence on visitors who seek to acquire more knowledge about the French Invasions in general, and obtain information about the Battle of Vimeiro, in particular.It is necessary to emphasize that my internship experience at the Interpretation Center was very enriching, as it allowed me to apply the knowledge acquired in the first year of my master's degree, and, on the other hand, also acquire essential skills for my professional future, having considers interaction with the public, from which I was also able to learn.It is important to mention that the knowledge acquired throughout the internship, which had an influence on the research carried out on the collection donated to the BVIC by Dr. Armindo Curto Fernandes, which allowed me to see the first French Invasion and the General who commanded it from another perspective, as well as the expansion of my knowledge on this topic. The experience gained throughout the internship made me grow as a person and want to be an excellent professional in Municipal Cultural Policy.Finally, I want to reinforce that my participation in the Historical Recreation of Batalha do Vimeiro and 19th Century Market was very positive, as it allowed me to experience the time and a greater internalization of all the knowledge learned over the several months of internship.

O seguinte relatório de estágio contextualiza no tempo da primeira invasão francesa, em particular na Batalha do Vimeiro.A vertente prática deste relatório realizou-se no CIBV (Centro de Interpretação da Batalha do Vimeiro), no qual foi bastante interessante compreender, na prática as dinâmicas de trabalho deste tipo de equipamento cultural. Outro ponto relevante deste estágio foi perceber a forma como o mesmo tem tido influência nos visitantes que nele procuram adquirir mais conhecimento sobre as invasões francesas de forma geral, e obter informação sobre a Batalha do Vimeiro, em particular.É necessário reforçar que, a minha experiência de estágio no centro de interpretação, foi muito enriquecedora, pois permitiu-me aplicar os conhecimentos adquiridos no primeiro ano de mestrado, e, por outro lado, também adquirir competências essenciais para o meu futuro profissional, tendo em conta a interação com público, com o qual pude aprender também. É importante referir que dos conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo do estágio decorreram, em parte, da investigação realizada na coleção doada ao CIBV pelo Dr. Armindo Curto Fernandes, que me permitiu ver por outro prisma a primeira invasão francesa e o general que a comandava, assim como, permitir a expansão dos meus conhecimentos sobre esta temática. A experiência obtida ao longo do percurso de estágio fez-me crescer enquanto pessoa e querer ser uma excelente profissional na área da Política Cultural Autárquica.Por último, quero reforçar que a minha participação na Recreação Histórica da Batalha do Vimeiro e Mercado Oitocentista, foi bastante positiva, pois permitiu-me vivenciar a época e uma maior interiorização de todos os conhecimentos aprendidos, ao longo dos diversos meses de estágio.
