A Tradução como Tertúlia: criação de um Guia de Boas Práticas para o "Projeto de Tradução Colaborativa" da Marionet

Abstract

We live in a time in which the quest for the beauty that makes a difference, the beauty that is cultivated after being felt, also encompasses languages. Therefore, the curricular internship during the second year of the Master's in Translation was carried out in collaboration with Marionet, a theatre company that focuses on finding beauty at the intersection of performing arts and science. This Internship Report aims to present the host entity, the tasks completed and the challenges encountered, focusing on the "Collaborative Translation Project" and "Reading Theatre with Science" initiatives. Within the scope of these initiatives, I participated as a spectator, translator, proofreader, listener, and reader, feeling and analysing collaboration, translation, theatre, science, and the gathering. This involvement led to this report's subject: the creation of a Best Practice Guide that aims to improve consistency, coherence, and fluency of the texts produced by the volunteers involved in the "Collaborative Translation Project". This study is underpinned by the theoretical framework, which addresses the intersection between theatre and science, the translation of these contents, the collaborative translation process, and the benefits of implementing best practices, both in the initiatives and in the work of the volunteer translators.To create this guide that meets the participants' specific needs, the project reviewer was interviewed, and the volunteer translators were surveyed. Based on the analysis of the collected data and the theoretical reflection carried out, a Best Practice Guide for Marionet's gatherings is presented.

Vivemos numa época em que a procura do belo que faz a diferença, o belo que se cultiva depois de ser sentido, passa, também, pelas línguas. Assim, o estágio curricular previsto no segundo ano do Mestrado em Tradução foi realizado em colaboração com a Marionet, uma companhia teatral que se foca na procura do belo no cruzamento das artes performativas com a ciência.O presente Relatório de Estágio visa, deste modo, apresentar a entidade de acolhimento, as atividades aí desenvolvidas e os desafios encontrados, com foco nas iniciativas "Projeto de Tradução Colaborativa" e "Ler Teatro com Ciência". No âmbito destas iniciativas, participei como espetadora, tradutora, revisora, ouvinte e leitora, sentindo e analisando a colaboração, a tradução, o teatro, a ciência e a tertúlia. Foi este envolvimento que deu origem ao tema deste Relatório: a criação de um Guia de Boas Práticas que procura favorecer a consistência, a coesão e a fluência dos textos produzidos pelos voluntários do "Projeto de Tradução Colaborativa".O enquadramento teórico sustenta este estudo, que engloba o cruzamento entre teatro e ciência, a tradução destes conteúdos, o processo de tradução colaborativa e as vantagens de implementar boas práticas, tanto nas iniciativas como na atividade dos tradutores voluntários.Para elaborar este guia de forma ajustada às necessidades específicas dos participantes, procedeu-se a uma entrevista ao revisor do projeto e a um inquérito aos tradutores voluntários. Com base na análise dos dados apurados e na reflexão teórica desenvolvida, apresenta-se uma proposta de Guia de Boas Práticas para as tertúlias da Marionet.
