O Ser enquanto Relação: traços preliminares de uma Ética Dialógica

Abstract

O presente ensaio – pese embora não pretenda encobrira sua natural insuficiência – configura uma tentativa de indagação, ainda que exordial, da ética dialógica apresentada por Martin Buber na obra Eu e Tu. Tendo em conta o escopo que perseguimos, o trabalho consubstancia-se no reduto da imanência relacional dos entes, transcurando propositadamente a sustentação teológica aduzida no texto. A concretização de tal empreendimento poderá parecer, numa primeira observação, inverosímil, visto que todo o sistema filosófico do autor está subordinado à presença incondicional de Deus. Não obstante, estamos em crer que o pensamento dialógico de Buber não se esgota, de modo algum, numa apreciação de índole religiosa, e que as suas cogitações desvelam um caminho virgem, no qual podemos dar os primeiros passos na direção de uma ética co-existencial, cujo fundamento último reside na simplicidade inexprimível da relação.

Although exploratory and not designed to conceal its natural shortcomings, this essay is still an attempt to inquire into the dialogical ethics presented by Martin Buber in the work I and Thou. Given our purpose, this study is grounded in the stronghold of the relational immanence of entities, deliberately circumventing any theological framework found in the text. At first sight, such an undertaking might seem far-fetched, bearing in mind the fact that the whole of the author's philosophical system is governed by the unbounded presence of God. We believe, however, that Buber's dialogical reasoning is by no means exhausted by a religious interpretation. Rather, the author's insights open up an uncharted territory where the first steps can be taken towards an ethics of coexistence that is fundamentally rooted in the unspeakable simplicity of relation.
