Graphic Ground — Sistema modular generativo de materiais de comunicação visual

Abstract

A junção do design gráfico com a tecnologia, que tem vindo a afirmar-se recentemente, tem expandido o leque de possibilidades no mundo do design e entusiasma os novos criadores a descobrirem áreas ainda pouco exploradas. Nesta dissertação apresentamos a plataforma on-line Graphic Ground, resultante da investigação desenvolvida no âmbito do Mestrado em Design e Multimédia da Universidade de Coimbra. Esta plataforma possibilita a geração automatizada de materiais gráficos para divulgação por parte de utilizadores sem contacto anterior com ferramentas similares mas também a designers com bloqueio de criatividade. Através da integração de fundamentos do Design Gráfico com a Generatividade Computacional torna-se possível a uma ampla variedade de pessoas, incluindo designers com bloqueio criativo, gerar materiais de comunicação visual. The recent combination of graphic design and technology, which has been emerging recently, has expanded the range of possibilities in the world of design and has encouraged new creators to discover areas still little explored. In this dissertation we present the online platform Graphic Ground, the result of research carried out as part of the Master's Degree in Design and Multimedia at the University of Coimbra. This platform enables the automated generation of graphic materials for dissemination by users with no previous contact with similar tools, but also by designers with a creativity block. By integrating the fundamentals of Graphic Design with Computational Generativity, it becomes possible for a wide variety of people, including designers with a creativity block, to generate visual communication materials.
