O Turismo e o Património em Montalegre e Boticas O Ecomuseu de Barroso

Abstract

One of the objectives of this investigation is to understand what the Ecomuseum of Barroso has been doing in terms of tourism and heritage, for its territorial development and environmental preservation, what is its contribution as a tourist attraction and enhancer of the quality of life of the population, taking into account pay attention to how visitors enjoy the destination.The report thus begins with an approach to concepts such as: tourism, the new museology, the ecomuseum and sustainable development, understood as central to the study of the subject.Next, a description of the Barroso Region is made, as this is the region that comprises the Ecomuseum of Barroso, where the internship was carried out, which is why its characterization is also made.After the characterization of the territory covered by the internship, there is an identification of the tourist resources and offer and the heritage wealth of Barroso, having resorted to an inventory of stocks, tangible and intangible in the area under study.The Ecomuseum of Barroso, part of an identity region of the Portuguese northern border, is interpreted from different perspectives. It should be noted: i) its incentive to the production of knowledge in and about the region, ii) the promotion of the enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage, and iii) its role as a promoter of local and regional development; and iv) some indicators of the impact of the Ecomuseum of Barroso.As methodology, content analysis, questionnaire and interview were used. The questionnaire was carried out with visitors from the various Ecomuseum poles, whether they were local or from other regions, and the interview was conducted with the person in charge of the Ecomuseum in Barroso.

Um dos objetivos desta investigação é perceber o que o Ecomuseu de Barroso tem feito a nível do turismo e do património, para o seu desenvolvimento territorial e preservação ambiental, qual o seu contributo enquanto atrativo turístico e potenciador da qualidade de vida da população, tendo em atenção o modo como os visitantes usufruem do destino.O relatório inicia assim com uma abordagem a conceitos como: o turismo, a nova museologia, o ecomuseu e o desenvolvimento sustentável, entendidos como fulcrais para o estudo do tema.De seguida é feita uma descrição da Região de Barroso, por ser esta a que compreende o Ecomuseu de Barroso, local onde foi feito o estágio, por isso é feita também a sua caraterização.Após a caraterização do território sobre que incide do estágio é uma identificação dos recursos e oferta turísticas e da riqueza patrimonial de Barroso, tendo recorrido a um inventário das existências, tangíveis e intangíveis na área em estudo.O Ecomuseu de Barroso, parte de uma região identitária da Raia norte portuguesa, é interpretado com base em óticas diversas. Salienta-se: o i) seu incentivo à produção de conhecimento na e sobre a região, ii) da promoção da valorização do património natural e cultural, e iii) de potenciador do desenvolvimento local e regional; e sendo ainda apontados iv) alguns indicadores do impacto do Ecomuseu de Barroso.Como metodologia foi utilizada a análise de conteúdos, o questionário e a entrevista. O questionário foi efetuado a visitantes dos vários polos do Ecomuseu, quer fossem locais quer fossem de outras regiões, e a entrevista foi feita ao responsável do Ecomuseu de Barroso.
