Representações da JUVENTUDE na DRAMATURGIA Portuguesa CONTEMPORÂNEA

Abstract

Representações da JUVENTUDE na DRAMATURGIA Portuguesa CONTEMPORÂNEA pretende estudar as representações da juventude em Portugal, nos dias de hoje, percorrendo, no entanto, como se de um percurso biográfico se tratasse, as criações ligadas ao tema, desde os anos 1980 até à atualidade. O tema do universo juvenil e a aspiração dos jovens à profissão de Intérprete, Ator e Atriz leva-me a querer compreender e dar voz às questões que os movem, além de questionar e evidenciar de que forma o teatro pode ou não ter interferência nessa ação. Com vista à busca de uma ou várias respostas para esta inquietação, a presente dissertação, incidirá no conceito de juventude, com base em alguns exemplos, que categorizem, nomeadamente, essa faixa etária, a forma como o termo tem vindo a ser classificado, interpretado e integrado na sociedade. Seguidamente, percorrerá alguns exemplos da ação política, reivindicativa e ideológica dos jovens, fazendo a ponte com os acontecimentos específicos ocorridos em Portugal, desde o 25 de Abril até aos dias de hoje. Serão evidenciados casos concretos, que se foram destacando ao longo desse percurso e que ilustram essa manifestação, com foco na representatividade da voz da juventude na dramaturgia, evidenciando, para isso, os seus processos de criação e destacando o seu contributo para a evolução e desenvolvimento da nova dramaturgia portuguesa.O estudo aborda um conjunto de companhias dedicadas a esse trabalho e apresentará, enquanto estudos de caso, três coletivos e os seus processos de produção/criação: Mundo Perfeito, Formiga Atómica e Teatro do Vestido, partindo de textos de Tiago Rodrigues, Miguel Fragata & Inês Barahona e Joana Craveiro, tomando como exemplo, as suas peças/criações: “Coro dos Maus Alunos” - (2007), “Montanha-Russa” - (2018) e “Juventude Inquieta” - (2021) respetivamente.

Representations of YOUTH in CONTEMPORARY Portuguese DRAMATURGY, intends to study the representations of youth in Portugal, nowadays, covering, however, as if it were a biographical journey, the creations related to the theme, from the 1980s to the present. The theme of the youth universe and the aspirations of young people to the profession on Interpreter, Actor and Actress makes me want to understand an give voice to the issues that move them, in addition to questioning and showing how theater may or may not interfere in this action. With a view to finding one or several answers to this concern, this dissertation will focus on the concept of youth, based on some examples, wich categorize, namely this age group, the way in wich the term has been classified, interpreted and reintegrated into society. It will then go through some examples of the political, demanding and ideological action of young people, making a connection with the specific events that took place in Portugal, from the 25th of April to the present day. Concrete cases will be highlighted, wich have been highlighted along this path and that illustrate this manifestations, focusing on the representation of the voice of youth in dramaturgy, highlighting, for this, their creation processes an highlighting their contribution to the evolution and development of the new portuguese dramaturgy.The study addresses a set of companies dedicated to that work and it will present, as case studies three collectives and their production/creation processes: Mundo Perfeito, Formiga Atómica and Teatro do Vestido, based on texts by Tiago Rodrigues, Miguel Fragata & Inês Barahona and Joana Craveiro, taking, their plays/creations as examples: “Coro dos Maus Alunos” - (2007), “Montanha-Russa” - (2018) and “Juventude Inquieta”- (2021) respectively.
