Estudo da resistência de painéis rígidos para proteção de infraestruturas contra incêndios florestais

Abstract

Os incêndios florestais são uma das principais catástrofes que assombram e devastam o nosso país ano após ano. A destruição provocada por estes fenómenos gera impactos a vários níveis, sejam sociais, ao colocar em risco a vida da população, sejam económicos através da destruição de um vasto leque de infraestruturas e bens, sejam ambientais devido à extrema desflorestação e ao elevado número de poluentes que são libertados para a atmosfera.Os incêndios que têm vindo a ocorrer no país e em especial os de 2017, permitiram salientar a importância das infraestruturas associados aos sistemas de telecomunicação tanto na coordenação e organização dos serviços de combate, bem como no pedido de socorro por parte da população.Com isto em mente surge uma parceria com a Telcabo e a Vodafone Portugal com o intuito de desenvolver uma proteção rígida aplicável a armários presentes nas estações de telecomunicações e que a qualquer instante possam vir a ser afetados por um incêndio florestal.O objetivo deste trabalho é a criação de uma proteção com painéis rígidos, o seu estudo e análise do comportamento / resistência quando exposta a cenários próximos da realidade de um incêndio florestal. O trabalho foi desenvolvido através de testes experimentais em laboratório.Numa primeira análise foi realizado um estudo sobre materiais que poderiam vir a ser usados na criação da proteção e de seguida partiu-se para os ensaios laboratoriais de forma a determinar se a estrutura protetora seria eficaz. Após este procedimento foi possível criar e testar a proteção concluindo-se, após análise dos dados obtidos nos ensaios experimentais, que esta será eficaz no desempenho da função estipulada e salvaguardando a integridade e bom funcionamento dos armários de telecomunicações.

Forest fires are one of the main disasters that haunt and devastate our country every year. The destruction caused by these phenomena generates impacts at several levels, whether social by putting at risk the population lives, whether economic through the destruction of a wide range of infrastructures and essential goods, or environmental due to the extreme deforestation and the high number of pollutants that are released into the atmosphere.
