Estratégias e processos de inspeção para avaliação e diagnóstico do património edificado

Abstract

A inspeção constitui a primeira tarefa na avaliação da condição de um edifício, compreendendo desde logo a identificação e o registo das suas anomalias estruturais e não estruturais. A abordagem a utilizar durante o processo de inspeção deverá ser previamente selecionada em função do tipo de construção, do nível de detalhe da inspeção, da escala da intervenção e dos objetivo finais pretendidos. No caso particular dos edificados antigos, o desconhecimento generalizado das técnicas de construção tradicionais levam a que estes processos se revelem frequentemente inadequados, comprometendo, em consequência, a fiabilidade do diagnóstico e a eficiência de eventuais ações de reabilitação ou reforço. Tendo por base o exposto, este artigo apresenta uma reflexão sobre estratégias e processos de inspeção na avaliação e diagnóstico de edifícios antigos, apresentando as fichas de inspeção e registo como exemplo de ferramentas privilegiadas na concretização de processos de inspeção e de ações de diagnóstico eficazes.

Survey and inspection are the first tasks on the assessment of a building condition, comprising the identification and registry of its main structural and non-structural anomalies. The approach to be used on the inspection process should be pre-selected according to the building typology, the final goal of the project, the level of detail intended and the intervention scale. Particularly in the case of the ancient buildings, and due to the general lack of knowledge on traditional materials and building techniques, such inspection and survey actions are often inadequate, compromising consequently the reliability of the diagnosis and the subsequent efficiency of eventual rehabilitation and/or retrofitting actions. On the basis of the exposed, this paper presents a reflection on strategies and inspection processes for the assessment and diagnosis of old buildings, presenting the use of inspection datasheets as privileged tools in the implementation of effective survey and diagnosis actions.
