O Estudo do Relevo na Disciplina de Geografia – A Importância da Saída de Campo

Abstract

O relevo, com toda a dinâmica que envolve este tema, tem uma importância extrema em domínios científicos como a Geografia Física e a Geografia Humana. Todo o estudo do relevo implica um conhecimento da dinâmica do modelado terrestre e as suas caraterísticas físicas. No entanto, importa ressalvar que, sem determinismos geográficos, o próprio modelado terrestre tem uma influência direta nas populações, nomeadamente na sua distribuição espacial, cultura e vivências, assim como nas dinâmicas urbana, política e económica.Num país como Portugal, é interessante estudar o relevo e as particularidades do modelado terrestre, para que se conheçam e compreendam alguns fenómenos geológicos e geomorfológicos ao longo do país, sem descuidar a importância das dinâmicas e influencias geohumanas na geodiversidade paisagística.A escolha da temática do relevo recai sobre o facto de este ser um conteúdo programático no âmbito disciplinar do 7º ano de escolaridade e por considerar que este é um tema de grande importância no que diz respeito à Geografia e à perceção de diversos contextos físicos e humanos.Considera-se de igual modo, importante esta abordagem no âmbito do ensino escolar, para que os alunos percebam a interação entre o meio físico e a população e, os impactos que o ambiente que nos rodeia pode ter nas nossas vidas a diversos níveis. Para tal, a estratégia pedagógica trabalhada ao longo do ano letivo recai sobre uma saída de campo às Buracas do Casmilo, para que o alunos do 7º ano conheçam e compreendam o relevo e os fenómenos de interesse geológico e geomorfológico que os rodeiam, sem descuidar a dimensão humana implícita.

The relief, with every dynamic involving this thematic, has an extreme importance in scientific fields like Physical Geography and Human Geography.All relief studies imply a knowledge of the relief module dynamics and its physical characteristics. However, it's important to emphasize that, without geographic determinisms, the relief module itself, has a direct influence in the population, namely in the population distribution, in its culture and experiences, as well as in urban, political and economic dynamics.In a country such as Portugal, it's interesting to study the relief and the particularities of the relief module, so that it can be known, and understood some of the geomorphological and geological phenomena along the country, without neglecting the importance of geohuman dynamics and influences on landscape geodiversity.The choice of the thematic of relief falls upon the fact that this is a programmed content within the scope of the 7th school year and, considering this a theme of great importance with regard to Geography and the perception of diverse physical and human contexts.I Consider, likewise, the importance of this approach within the scope of school education, so that students can understand the interaction between the physical environment and the population and the impacts that the environment around us can have in our lives at different levels.For such, the pedagogical strategy that I worked along the school year falls upon a field exit to the Buracas do Casmilo, so that my 7th school year students may know and comprehend the relief and the phenomena of geological and geomorphological interests that surround us, without neglecting the implicit human dimension.
