This report is the result of the curricular internship carried out within the scope of the Master in Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. The internship took place at the company AMMA1981, a textile industry company with a factory in the village of Arganil, between February 12 and June 18, 2021.This company, which had been experiencing healthy growth in its four years of life in the outerwear industry, faced several difficulties related to the context of general confinement caused by the measures to control the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic, had to quickly restructure part of its production to respond to new market needs, namely the production and marketing of medical devices and personal protective equipment. The activities carried out in the internship focused on controlling and monitoring the restructuring carried out, as well as on the intervention in several areas of this new business aspect. In addition to this practical component, and as a way of framing this new reality for the company, several concepts related to the paradigm shift in world markets, innovation and entrepreneurship and globalization were explored, taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic and the changes it brought with it. .The internship allowed, in addition to understanding the functioning of the company's production process, given the participation at a professional level and integration in the work team, also understanding the behavior of a market with strong international relations, such as medical supplies. This participation also made it possible to analyze the process, generating results and conclusions from the activity of the manufacturing unit.
