Mental Health Literacy, Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being have been the subject of growing interest by the scientific community. However, there has been little empirical research evaluating the relationship between these constructs, especially in adolescence. Therefore, this study aims to contribute to the research on the relationships between Mental Health Literacy, Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being, by clarifying the potential predictive value of Mental Health Literacy in relation to Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being. We also intend to observe whether the sample subjects differ in their levels of Mental Health Literacy, Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being considering the sociodemographic variables. To this end, we used a sample of 341 adolescents from the Portuguese population (181 female and 160 male), between 15 and 18 years old, who participated in the study by answering the following instruments measured for the Portuguese population: Sociodemographic Questionnaire (Maia de Carvalho, Vale-Dias, & Sieiro, 2019), Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire (Campos et al., 2016), Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire - Youth Version (Candeias et al., 2013) and Mental health Continuum - Short Form (Matos et al., 2010). The results revealed the existence of a significant and positive association between all the constructs assessed, with the correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being being the strongest and most significant. Mental Health Literacy was also found to exert positive and statistically significant predictive influence on Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being. The scores of all scales assessed were significantly associated with the participants´ gender, and those who attended psychology appointments obtained lower scores in the Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being scales.
