Como os doentes vivenciam a Depressão e o Seu Impacto No Seio Familiar

Abstract

A depressão é uma doença cada vez mais diagnosticada e apesar das pessoas estarem mais sensibilizadas e conscientes da mesma, este trabalho procura expor e compreender a doença segundo a perspectiva do doente, como ele a vive, como ele a encara. Esta doença afecta também quem está próximo do doente no seio familiar. O contexto do trabalho de campo é na Associação de Doentes Depressivos e Bipolares em Coimbra.

Depression is a condition increasingly diagnosed and although people are more aware and conscious of it, this paper attempts to understand the disease and according to the patient’s perspective, how he lives, how he sees. This disease also affects those who are near the patient depressed, especially the family, hence the interest in the impact of the disease in the family. The context of the fieldwork is the Association of Patients Depressive and Bipolar in Coimbra.
