Promoção de Competências Sociais e Emocionais em Contexto de Acolhimento Institucional: Projeto “Leva-me até mim e Descobre(te)”

Abstract

Todas as crianças têm o direito a ter assegurado o seu bem-estar e desenvolvimento integral. Sempre que isto não acontece, ou seja, sempre que se verifica a exposição a fatores de risco que comprometam essa segurança, é nessa condição que falamos de Crianças em situação de Risco. A gestão e/ou atenuação dos fatores de risco sem que se encontrem presentes agentes protetores, pode motivar um contexto de perigo. Perante essa situação de perigo é impreterível ativar uma medida de promoção e proteção que intervenha em conformidade com o exposto. Sendo o acolhimento institucional a medida de promoção e proteção abordada ao longo de todo o trabalho e refletindo sobre os múltiplos desafios que enfrenta no que concerne ao ajustamento das práticas institucionais e à necessidade premente de encontrar soluções que respondam às necessidades e carências das crianças acolhidas bem como, dos respetivos profissionais e entidades articuladas que, de forma coesa se envolvem com a rede de proteção social, garantindo e preservando sempre os direitos dos menores. Nesse sentido, o presente relatório, intitulado “Promoção de Competências Sociais e Emocionais em Contexto de Acolhimento Institucional: O Projeto Leva-me até mim e Descobre(te)”, reflete as atividades desenvolvidas, no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Educação Social, Desenvolvimento e Dinâmicas Locais da Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra, no Ninho dos Pequenitos da Associação Sorriso. No Ninho dos Pequenitos, as atividades do projeto de estágio assumiram como objetivo primordial a promoção de competências sociais e emocionais nas crianças focando essencialmente, a importância da regulação emocional, do desenvolvimento de uma autoestima saudável e da comunicação positiva como ferramenta essencial para a resolução de conflitos, tendo em consideração o contexto, a história e vulnerabilidade de cada uma das crianças acolhidas. Assim, encontramos neste relatório, a planificação, implementação e avaliação das diversas atividades realizadas no âmbito do projeto de estágio bem como, a colaboração e integração noutros projetos e dinâmicas da instituição.Palavras-chave: Acolhimento Institucional; Crianças em Risco; Competências Sociais e Emocionais; Desenvolvimento Integral e Necessidades.

Every child has the right to have assured her well being and her complete developement. Whenever this doesnt happen, that is, when children are exposed to risk factors that compromise that safety, its when we talk about Children in a risk situation. The management and/or mitigation of risk factors without the presence of protective agents can motivate a context of danger. In the presence of this situation of danger, it is urgent to activate a mesure ot promotion and protection that intervenes according to the exposed situation. Institutional care is the measure of protection and promotion adressed along this work, leading to the reflexion over the multiple challenges that this measure faces, as far as it concerns the adjustment of institutional practices and the needs and lacks of fostered children, as well as the respective professionals and institutions, that in a cohesise way engage with the social safety net, always assuring and preserving the children’s rights. In this sense, the present repport intitled “Promotion of Emotional and Social Skills in the Context of Institutional Care: The Project Take me to You and Discover (yourself)” reflects the activities that have been developed along the curricular internship of the Master’s Degree in Social Education Developpement and Local Dynamics from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of University of Coimbra, which took place at Nest of the Little Ones from the Smile Association. In the Nest of the Little Ones, the acitivities of the curricular internship had, as main goal, the promotion of social and emotional skills in children, focusing mainly on the importance of emotional regulation, of an heathy self confidence and on positive communication as an essential tool for the resolution of conflicts, taking into account the context, the history and vulnerability or every fostered child.
