Entre diálogos – evocação a Garcia de Orta - Portugal e Goa: construindo pontes para novos diálogos

Abstract

Com este trabalho pretende-se rememorar o médico e o botânico Garcia de Orta, através dos Colóquios dos Simples, (re)ligar os cincos séculos de história da presença portuguesa em Goa, unidos pela língua, cultura e religião, através da organização de um Congresso Internacional a realizar em Pangim, Goa. Este evento permitirá criar novas pontes culturais, reunindo à mesa investigadores, público especializado e cidadãos, que através do seu conhecimento, experiência e numa perspetiva de intercâmbio e de partilha com os nativos, estabelecerão novos diálogos, privilegiando, sempre que possível, a língua da Camões, como contributo para novas aprendizagens e reflexões. Para além do exposto, o projeto versa uma perspetiva pedagógica, em volta dos livros e das artes, promovendo roteiros pelo património, unindo no território o Ocidente e o Oriente, que serão documentados na plataforma do site www.entredialogos.pt. Abordaremos a sustentabilidade do mar no âmbito da Convenção 2020, chamando a atenção para a sua acuidade e problemática, numa visão integradora e global de conjunto, com foco na humanidade e no bem-estar físico, social, económico. Ao estabelecer o diálogo entre as diferentes universidades do país e do oriente a qual está subjacente uma proposta intercultural que visa consolidar as relações culturais e da ciência, entre Portugal e a Índia, contribui-se, desta forma, para relembrar a história de dois países que têm um legado histórico em comum, cuja história deve ser comemorada.

"Colloquies on the Simples- Remenbering Garcia de Orta - Building Bridges to New Dialogues"With this work we intend to recall the physician and botanist Garcia de Orta, through the Colóquios dos Simples, (re)connect the five centuries of history of the Portuguese presence in Goa, united by language, culture, and religion, through the organization of an International Congress to be held in Panjim, Goa. This event will allow the creation of new cultural bridges, bringing together researchers, a specialized audience, and citizens, who through their knowledge and experience envision the exchange and sharing with the natives, will establish new dialogues, favoring, whenever possible, the language of Camões, as a contribution to new learning and reflections. In addition to the above, the project has a pedagogical perspective, around books and arts, promoting itineraries through heritage bringing together the West and the East, which will be documented on the platform “www.entredialogos.pt”.We will address the sustainability of the sea within the scope of the 2020 Convention, highlighting accuracy and its problems, in an integrative and global vision, focusing on humanity and physical, social, and economic well-being. By establishing a dialogue between the different universities in the country and eastern universities, which underlies an intercultural proposal that aims to consolidate scientific and cultural relations between Portugal and India, it contributes to remember the history of two countries that have a shared historical legacy, whose history must be celebrated.
