Red tape e green tape nas organizações: Uma análise bibliométrica

Abstract

A presente análise bibliométrica tem como principal objetivo explicitar o desenvolvimento da produção científica sobre os conceitos de red tape e green tape, em contexto organizacional, no decorrer da última década – entre 2010 e 2020, inclusive. Para o efeito, a análise realizada incidiu sobre 161 artigos científicos produzidos e publicados dentro do período indicado, cuja recolha foi efetuada por via da base de dados científica Web of Science. Todas as publicações em questão foram exploradas segundo um conjunto de métricas previamente definidas, cujos resultados se revelaram pertinentes para uma posterior e congruente discussão acerca das variáveis mais frequentemente associadas aos conceitos em análise – red tape e green tape. O referido estudo pretende, então, enquadrar estas duas teorias no período compreendido entre os últimos dez anos, de acordo com os tópicos que se consideraram essenciais para a transmissão de aspetos-chave relativos ao desenvolvimento cientifico-teórico da temática em questão. Uma das principais conclusões a retirar refere-se à relevante tendência crescente da quantidade de investigação que tem vindo a ser desenvolvida sobre o tema. De facto, este revela-se determinante na gestão organizacional, não só pelo impacto que tem em termos administrativos, mas também pelo efeito que pode causar no desempenho dos colaboradores e da própria organização. Assim, o propósito do presente trabalho de pesquisa serve uma reflexão sobre a aplicação destas teorias, bem como uma sistematização da evolução bibliográfica das mesmas.

The bibliometric analysis here displayed has its main goal in evidencing the development of scientific production on the concepts of red tape and green tape, in an organizational context, during the last decade – between 2010 and 2020, inclusive. For this purpose, the presented study counts with 161 scientific articles produced and published within the indicated period, which were collected through the scientific database Web of Science. All the publications in matter were explored according to a set of previously defined metrics, the results of which proved to be relevant for a subsequent and congruent discussion about the variables most often associated with the concepts under analysis – red tape and green tape. The mentioned study, then, intends to fit these two theories between the time gap concerning the last ten years, according to the matters that were considered particularly essential for the transmission of key aspects related to the scientific and theoretical development of the subject in study. One of the main conclusions to be drawn from the study is the relevant growing trend in the amount of research that has been developed on the subject. In fact, this proves to be decisive in organizational management, not only because of the impact it has in administrative matters, but also because of the effect it may have on the performance of employees and of the organization itself. Thus, the purpose of this research work is to arise thoughts on the application of these theories, as well as a systematization of their bibliographic evolution.
