Intervenção educativa em crianças com dificuldades de aprendizagem

Abstract

O presente relatório insere-se no âmbito do estágio realizado para o Mestrado em Ciências da Educação, da Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra. O estágio decorreu durante cerca de 9 meses, no Serviço de Pedopsiquiatria do Hospital Pediátrico de Coimbra, mais concretamente, no Gabinete de Educação. O nosso papel, neste local, passou pela conceção, desenvolvimento e avaliação de intervenções que foram realizadas com crianças, numa faixa etária compreendida entre os 8 e os 12 anos, que tinham dificuldades de aprendizagem e, em alguns casos, estavam envoltas em contextos marcados por problemas sociais. Trata-se de crianças com um baixo autoconceito e autoestima, pelo que a nossa ação respondeu a diferentes vertentes.Além deste trabalho, foi-nos possibilitado o estabelecimento de contacto com as escolas das crianças que acompanhámos, no sentido de articular o trabalho desenvolvido. Ainda neste sentido, foi importante estar presente nas reuniões de equipa multidisciplinar do serviço, o que possibilitou articular intervenções com os outros profissionais, de modo a intervir de forma holística, em todas as esferas de vida destas crianças.Conseguimos, ainda, participar nas reuniões de formação interna do Serviço de Pedopsiquiatria e, também, no Programa Pedagógico Hospital Sem Medos. Importa mencionar que este estágio decorreu durante as comemorações dos 50 anos do Serviço de Pedopsiquiatria de Coimbra, pelo que participámos no planeamento destas comemorações.

This report describes the work developed during an internship, as part of the Masters in Education Sciences from the School of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Coimbra. The internship lasted for about 9 months and it was carried out at the Pedopsychiatric Service of the Pediatric Hospital of Coimbra, more specifically at the Education Office. Our role was to design, develop and evaluate the interventions that were performed with children between 8 and 12 years old. These children presented learning difficulties, low self-concept and self-esteem and, in some cases, were affected by social issues. Therefore, we had to be able to respond to all these different aspects.In addition to this role, we were presented with the opportunity to be involved with several other activities within the Education Office. We were able to establish contact with the schools of the children we followed, in order to articulate the work developed Also in this sense, it was important to be present at the multidisciplinary team meetings of the service, which made it possible to articulate interventions with other professionals, in order to intervene in a holistic way, in all spheres of life of these children. We were also able to participate in the internal training sessions of the Pedopsychiatry Service and also in the Pedagogical Program Hospital Sem Medos. It is also worth to mention that the internship took place during the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the Pedopsychiatric Service, and that we were involved in the planning of these celebrations.
