The attention given in the field of Mental Health to vulnerable women, both in Brazil and in other countries of the world, is insufficient in face of the demands of suffering that many experience. Considering this issue worthy of attention and care, I have carried out an auto-ethnographic investigation, from the collection of materials in my field diaries, interviews, photographs, recordings, introspection and memories, to try to locate, from my experiences as a Social Psychologist working with some of them, my studies, impressions and feelings, contribute to find innovative strategies to answer this question. In the development of this work I will present the path of construction of my identity as a social actor, starting with the concept of Self Care, developed by the philosopher Michael Foucault, and the Project of Being, from Jean Paul Sartre, as two theoretical perspectives that influenced the beginning of my work in the social field, as well as the importance of the Affection as a central issue in intervention practices. I describe some important concepts observed during my journey, such as poverty, vulnerability, prejudice, stereotypes and stigma, to reach the notion of Feminization of Poverty, from which it will be possible to present the reasons why poverty has increasingly become a feminine problem, in this analysis I still include the understanding of mono-parental families, a new urban phenomenon where women have been the only economic reference in the home. I will address ethical-political suffering as a specific type of suffering determined exclusively by the social situation in which these women find themselves and it’s impact on the Mental Health of these vulnerable women. After presenting this scenario, I suggest that women from civil society should be properly trained to contribute in the search for answers to these problems, and point out the field of social intervention as an alternative to action for them. My research problem was to understand which of my experiences as a social interventionist in the last ten years can contribute today to enable these other women to also become social interventionists to develop actions aimed at women in socially vulnerable situations? And my conclusion was to see that sharing my experiences regarding the elaboration of Social Projects can be a path. For this reason, in addition to the knowledge related to the elaboration of Social Projects I present the stages that have I have already carried out, clarifying all the stages of how to structure an idea of social intervention until the moment of implementing the action. To conclude I mention the importance of a social interventionist being self-critical in relation to her own interventions, and that for that, self-knowledge, race consciousness (whiteness) and experiences in Humanitarian Tourism trips can bring learning that must be considered for her training.
