O serviço público de media e a informação televisiva: análise ao programa "Portugal em Direto" da RTP1

Abstract

O presente relatório, intitulado - o serviço público de media e a informação televisiva: análise ao programa “Portugal em Direto” da RTP1 - tem como tema central o serviço público de televisão e nele está presente uma descrição do estágio curricular realizado na delegação regional da RTP em Coimbra, que decorreu entre 2 de Setembro a 29 de Novembro de 2019. Inclusive é desenvolvido um estudo em que o objetivo é observar e analisar as emissões do programa informativo “Portugal em Direto” da RTP1. A análise é feita aos alinhamentos de dois meses: entre 2 de Setembro a 30 de Setembro de 2019 e entre 4 de Novembro a 29 de Novembro de 2019. Para contextualizar o estudo é apresentada uma parte teórica sobre o serviço público televisivo português e sobre a informação televisiva. De forma a objetivar esta análise são identificadas as categorias temáticas mais mediatizadas, apontados os tipos de intervenientes mais utilizados, com base no seu estatuto e género, elencados os locais mais mediatizados e quais as notícias de abertura mais comuns e qual o género jornalístico predominante.Como considerações finais do estudo destacam-se a variedade de temas, apesar de serem as temáticas culturais que predominam; constante proximidade com o telespetador, apostando numa transmissão de conteúdos de todas as regiões do país; e o facto de dar voz a oficiais, profissionais e cidadãos comuns, sobretudo do género masculino. Os resultados permitem concluir que o programa analisado cumpre as exigências do serviço público de televisão.

This report, titled - public media service and television information: analysis program “Portugal em Direto” of RTP1 - has as a central theme the public television service and a description of the curricular internship in the RTP regional delegation in Coimbra, which happened between the 2nd of september and the 29th of november, 2019. A study is even developed in which the objective is to observe and analyze the emissions of the information program “Portugal em Direto” from RTP1.The analysis is made to the alignments in the two months: between the 2nd of september in 2019 and 30th of september, and between the 4h of november and the 29th of november in 2019. To give some context to the study, there is a presentation to the theoretical of the portuguese public services and information about television. To objectify this analysis, the most mediated thematic categories are identified, the most used types of participants, based on their status and gender, listed the most mediatized locations and which are the most common opening news and which is the predominant journalistic genre.As final considerations this study, there is some highlight on the variety of themes, although the cultural ones are the most dominant; constant proximity with the viewers, investing in the transmission of contents from all around the country; and the fact that it gives a voice to officials, professionals and common citizens, mostly male. The results allow us to conclude that the analyzed program meets the requirements of the public television service.
