Professor, uma função com vários domínios

Abstract

O presente relatório responde a um dos quesitos específicos do Estágio Curricular inerente ao segundoano do Mestrado em Ensino da Matemática no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Secundário do Departamentode Matemática da Universidade de Coimbra, cuja principal finalidade visa a apresentação eanálise das atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do ano letivo 2017/2018.Sob a supervisão do professor cooperante, professor Valter Roque, e do orientador científico, professorDoutor Jaime Carvalho e Silva, exerci a minha função de professora estagiária na Escola Secundáriade Emídio Navarro, localizada no distrito de Viseu.O relatório em questão encontra-se dividido em seis partes: introdução, contextualização, componenteletiva, componente não letiva, atividades extracurriculares e conclusão.No primeiro capítulo, realizo uma breve síntese do meu percurso antes do Estágio salientando algunsobstáculos e inquietações.No segundo capítulo, procedo a uma breve descrição da escola e das três turmas orientadas, bem comoa receção dos diferentes elementos da comunidade escolar.No terceiro capítulo, relato as atividades vivenciadas ao longo destes dez meses alusivas à componenteletiva como por exemplo a direção de turma e os encargos característicos na prática da mesma.No quarto capítulo, menciono algumas tarefas não exigidas pelo cargo de professor, mas recorrentespara a maioria dos profissionais associados a disciplinas exatas como a Matemática tais como concursosrelativos a esta área a nível nacional e internacional.No quinto capítulo, apresento algumas atividades intrínsecas ao Estágio Curricular e outras situaçõesrelativas à Matemática e à prática docente.Termino com uma reflexão global do presente ano de Estágio e com a fundamentação da escolha dotítulo deste relatório.

The present report answers to one of the specific requirements of the Curricular Internship inherentto the second year of the Master’s Degree in Mathematics Teaching in the 3rd cycle of Basic andSecondary Education of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Coimbra, whose mainpurpose is to present and analyze the activities developed during the academic year of 2017/2018.Under the supervision of the cooperating professor, Professor Valter Roque, and the scientific advisor,Professor Jaime Carvalho e Silva, I worked as a trainee teacher at the Emídio Navarro High School,located in the district of Viseu.The report in question is divided into six parts: introduction, contextualization, learner component,non-learner component, extracurricular activities and completion.In the first chapter, I make a brief summary of my academic course before the internship highlightingsome obstacles and concerns.In the second chapter, I make a brief description of the school and the three oriented classes, as wellas the reception of the different elements of the school community.In the third chapter, I report on the activities experienced during these ten months alluding to theteaching component such as class management direction and the inherent concerns in the practice ofthe same. In the fourth chapter, I mention some tasks not required by the poslicy of professor, butrecurring to most professionals associated with scientific curriculums such as Mathematics, such ascontests relating to this area at national and international level.In the fifth chapter, I present some activities intrinsic to the Curricular Internship and other situationsrelated to Mathematics and the practice of being a teacher.I finish with an overall reflection of the current internship year and with the reasoning for choosingthe title of this report.
