This dissertation focuses on the analysis of the influence of eccentricity on the performance of an electric motor, in this case a three-phase induction motor. For this, a mechanism is used to regulate the value of eccentricity, either static eccentricity or dynamic eccentricity. This work analyzes the influence that eccentricity has on the temperature in certain points of the motor and also what causes in certain magnitudes as the powers, the efficiency, the slip, the power factor, etc. Thirty tests were carried out with different load levels and eccentricity, and the results obtained for each test were compared. Next, the Park vector obtained through the motor supply currents is analyzed, again comparing the influence of the increase of the eccentricity on the representation of the Park vector. Finally, a method called Extended Park Vector Analysis (EPVA) is used, which is based on the representation of the frequency spectrum of the module of the Park vector of the currents, obtaining through this spectrum a severity factor that allows to measure the severity of some faults in the motor, this being an online method, so it does not need to stop the motor to analyze the existence or not, and the severity of the faults.
