Title: | Study of the traction curves in rolling/sliding dry contact including microgeometry effects | Other Titles: | Estudo das curvas de tração em contacto seco na condição de rolamento/escorregamento tendo em conta efeitos de micro geometria | Authors: | Ganhoto, João Ricardo de Almeida | Orientador: | Ramalho, Amílcar Lopes Robbe-Valloire, François |
Keywords: | Coeficiente de atrito; Mecanica de contacto; contacto cilindro-cilindro; Tribologia; Máquina bi-disco; Friction ratio; Contact mechanics; cylinder-cylinder contact; tribology; Twin disc machine | Issue Date: | 23-Jul-2018 | Serial title, monograph or event: | Study of the traction curves in rolling/sliding dry contact including microgeometry effects | Place of publication or event: | Departamento de Engenharia Mecânica | Abstract: | O objetivo principal deste trabalho é fazer um estudo teórico, usando um modelo de contacto proposto por , que visa validar, ou não, testes realizados num tribómetro de disco duplo, no Institut Supérieur de Mecánique de Paris (SUPMECA), comparando, ambos os resultados, como a teoria linear de Kalker. For this, an elongated study was made on the contact between smooth and rough cylindrical surfaces, loaded with different types of efforts, beginning at the simplest, finishing at the most complex. Many of the evaluations made in this work were based on existing models that will be correctly cited a posteriori. At the end, then, both results will be compared to see if there is a consensus about the validity of the experiences made. The main objective of this work is to do a theoretical study, using a contact model proposed by, which aims to validate, or not, tests performed in a double disc tribometer, at the Institut Supérieur de Mecánique de Paris (SUPMECA), comparing both results , such as Kalker's linear theory.
