O impacto dos sistemas ERP na logística: o caso do Grupo Visabeira

Abstract

O presente relatório foi elaborado, no âmbito do estágio curricular para a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Gestão. O estágio concretizou-se no departamento logístico da Visabeira Global, uma das cinco sub-holdings do Grupo Visabeira SGPS, SA, tendo iniciado a 5 de Fevereiro e finalizado a 13 de Junho. Este relatório incidiu, sobretudo, no estudo dos sistemas ERP. Estes são sistemas de informação que permitem integrar todas as informações e dados de uma empresa, suportando-se numa única base de dados. Têm como principal papel apoiar as empresas na gestão dos seus negócios, proporcionando uma eficiente coordenação de todos os seus recursos, dados e funções. São organizados por módulos que cobrem as várias áreas funcionais da empresa, como as finanças, a logística, os recursos humanos, o marketing e vendas ou a produção. No caso do Grupo Visabeira, o sistema adquirido foi o SAP, em 2009.Os principais objetivos deste relatório consistem na apresentação dos sistemas, na sua evolução e na sua relação com a logística. Para além disso, pretende-se compreender o impacto que estes sistemas proporcionam às empresas, nomeadamente, ao Grupo Visabeira e mais especificamente ao departamento logístico da Visabeira Global. Para isso, foram realizadas breves entrevistas aos chefes do departamento logístico da Visabeira Global e a alguns colaboradores. Após este estudo, concluiu-se que a implementação de um sistema ERP teve um impacto positivo, tanto no Grupo, como no departamento logístico da Visabeira Global.Os principais benefícios observados no Grupo Visabeira foram: (1) a considerável melhoria no acesso à informação, (2) a eliminação da redundância dos dados, (3) a flexibilidade e integração do SAP com outros sistemas, (4) a redução dos custos e (5) o controlo e rigor do sistema em não permitir erros ou informação incorreta. No entanto, como limitações, foram apontadas a intransigência do SAP e a sua difícil utilização por parte dos colaboradores. Relativamente aos principais benefícios apresentados na área da logística, foram mencionados (1) a simplificação do controlo e gestão dos stocks, (2) a automatização da gestão de inventários e (3) a maior integração e comunicação com o departamento financeiro.

The following report was elaborated in the context of an internship for the completion of a master's degree in Management. The internship took place in the Visabeira Global logistics department, one of the five sub-holdings of the Grupo Visabeira SGPS, SA which started on the 5th of February and ended on the 13rd of June. This report focus, mainly, in the study of ERP systems. These are information systems that allow the integration of all the data and information of a company, supporting themselves in a single database. Their main role is to support companies in their business management, providing efficient coordination of all their resources, data and functions. They are organized by modules that cover the various functional areas of the company, such as finance, logistics, human resources, marketing and sales or production. In the case of Grupo Visabeira, the system acquired was SAP, in 2009.The main objectives of this report consist in the presentation of ERP systems, their evolution and their relationship with logistics. Besides, it intends to understand the impact these systems provide to companies, namely the Grupo Visabeira and more specifically to the logistics department of Visabeira Global. For this, brief interviews were conducted with the heads of the logistics' department of Visabeira Global and some collaborators. After this study, it was concluded that the implementation of an ERP system had a positive impact, both in the Grupo Visabeira and in the logistics' department of Visabeira Global.The main benefits observed in the Grupo Visabeira were: (1) considerable improvement accessing the information and data, (2) elimination of data redundancy, (3) SAP's flexibility and integration with other systems, (4) cost reduction and (5) the control and accuracy of the system in not allowing errors or incorrect information. However, as limitations, it was pointed out SAP's intransigence and its difficult use by the collaborators. Regarding the main benefits present in logistics, were mentioned (1) the control simplification and stock management, (2) the automation of inventory management and (3) the greater integration and communication with the finance department.
