This work includes the reports of the internships in community pharmacy and regulatory affairs, in the form of SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis, in addition to the monograph entitled "Pigmentary changes in skin photoaging".The internship in community pharmacy was carried out at Holon Campo Grande pharmacy and and ran from January to April of two thousand and eighteen, and the internship in regulatory affairs was carried out at the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products - INFARMED, I.P, and ran from May to July of two thousand and eighteen. Accelerated aging of the skin due to chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation is characterized by visible changes in predominantly exposed areas, including changes in the uniformity of cutaneous pigmentation. This monograph consists of a bibliographic review and summarizes the most common pigmentary lesions caused by sun exposure, such as melasma, ephelides, solar lentigo, seborrheic keratosis, dermatosis papulosa nigra and Guttate hypomelanosis. This work presents the substances that may contribute to the prevention of photo aging, as well as the treatments used, especially substances with inhibitory action of the key enzyme of the melanogenesis process, tyrosinase. Some future perspectives of the hyperpigmentation treatment are presented, which are in agreement with the incorporation of substances in formulations with a more specific action, with action on new therapeutic targets and safer than those currently available.
