. | por |
dc.description.abstract | Over the years it has been observed that drowsiness appears as one of the factors that contributes for the occurrence of driving accidents. Focusing the study on the first phase of sleep, the transition period between the awake and sleep states, it is possible to create a system capable of detecting drowsiness. Thus, the objective of this project is the development of a system capable of acquiring, processing and analyzing an EEG with the capacity to detect drowsiness and thus preventing the occurrence of driving related accidents. For this, a specific database was studied to allow the development of the detection algorithm, as well as the development of an algorithm for the signal acquisition, were the Emotiv EPOC+ headset was used. A second objective of this work is the development of a Web platform, that allows studying and comparing different methodologies in the detection of drowsiness in an EEG signal, in a simulation environment. In this way, it is possible to demonstrate to students and researchers the best methodologies to use. From this work, various methodologies for drowsiness detection were studied, considering different EEG signals position, sliding windows, PCA, dynamics introduction through the introduction of delays and classifiers, being that, the best ones had a precision of 99.58% and an accuracy of 89.60%. . | eng |
