dc.description.abstractThe geometric phase effect at arbitrary integral N-fold electronic degeneracies is investigated in Jahn-Teller systems. It is shown to be a property inherent to inversion of the adiabatic electronic wave vectors in the N-dimensional electronic wave-vector space.
