AQUI É DIFERENTE! Inclusão Social e Formação Profissional de Pessoas com Deficiência

Abstract

O presente relatório resulta da realização de um estágio curricular e destina-se a fornecer informação sobre as atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do mesmo. Os principais objetivos do estágio visam aprofundar e mobilizar competências e conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo da formação académica na resolução de problemas práticos em contexto laboral e articular interdisciplinarmente o conhecimento sociológico com outras áreas de saber. O estágio teve lugar no Centro de Formação e Integração Profissional da Associação Portuguesa para as Perturbações do Desenvolvimento e Autismo de Coimbra e procurou conhecer o seu modo de funcionamento e organização, bem como o trabalho que desenvolve, as áreas de atuação e o seu público-alvo. A participação e cooperação nas tarefas diárias e a observação resultante das mesmas revelaram-se essenciais para a apreensão das dinâmicas e interações no interior da instituição. A realização do estágio e o diálogo com os atores intervenientes na instituição permitiram caracterizar o modelo de intervenção institucional, identificar a heterogeneidade de públicos, revelar a complexidade da realidade experienciada pelos/as formandos/as e reconstituir os trajetos biográficos e profissionais dos/as mesmos/as. O estágio possibilitou ainda múltiplas inserções e reflexões sobre os processos de intervenção social na população com deficiência e sobre os contributos que a participação de um/a sociólogo/a pode trazer para beneficiar os modelos de ação institucional neste domínio.

This report is the result of a curricular internship and is intended to provide information about the activities carried out during the course. The main purpose of the intership was to expand and apply skills and knowledge, previously acquired throughout academic training, towards solving practical problems in a work context and articulating interdisciplinary sociological knowledge with other areas of knowledge. The internship took place at the “Centro de Formação e Integração Profissional” (Center for Vocational Training and Professional Integration) of the “Associação Portuguesa para as Perturbações do Desenvolvimento e Autismo de Coimbra” (Portuguese Association for Development Disorders and Autism of Coimbra, and sought to know how it was organized and operated, as well as the work habits, areas of action and the target audience. The participation and cooperation in the daily tasks and the resulting observation of them proved essential for the comprehension of the dynamics and interactions present in the instituition. The accomplishment of the internship and the communication with the intervening actors allowed to caracterize the institutional intervention model, to identify the heterogeneity of audiences and to reveal the complexity of the reality experienced by the trainees. The internship also allowed multiple insertions and reflections on the processes of social intervention in the disabled population and on the contributions that the participation of a sociologist can bring to benefit the models of institutional action in this field.
