Cyberbullying e Suicídio em adolescentes: que ligação?

Abstract

O cyberbullying constitui uma realidade cada vez mais presente na vida dos adolescentes e uma preocupação social crescente. Trata-se de um fenómeno sobre cuja definição e avaliação ainda não existe consenso. Por seu lado, o suicídio constitui tragedia dolorosa, mas evitável, sendo, infelizmente, uma das causas mais comuns de morte em adolescentes. Procurando avaliar uma eventual relação entre o cyberbullying e o suicídio nos adolescentes, procedeu-se a uma análise e revisão de artigos sobre estes temas e esta eventual associação. Constatou-se existir uma relação estreita entre as tentativas de suicídio, os comportamentos auto-lesivos e o cyberbullying, não existindo, todavia, na literatura científica, evidências cientificamente demonstradas de uma relação direta entre o cyberbullying e o suicídio nos adolescentes....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Cyberbullying it is a reality that is increasing overtime in the adolescent life and a countless social preoccupation. It is a new type of behaviour with little consensus for the definition and for evaluating it. On the other side, suicide, a great tragedy, it can be avoid, but, unfortunately is one of the main reasons of death between teenagers. This article purpose is to seek the correlation between cyberbullying and suicide among the teenagers, to do so, we analyse and review article for this subject and the eventual link between them.
