Abstract

Num fenómeno que não é novo mas que se intensificou nas últimas épocas, o futebol português, em particular o campeonato nacional, passou a ter mais jogadores estrangeiros que jogadores nacionais, tornando-se Portugal um dos países europeus onde este processo se tornou mais evidente. A presente comunicação visa caracterizar o fluxo imigratório do futebol português, determinando o volume, a origem, as reações e consequências desse processo, considerando ainda que este fenómeno é determinado por dinâmicas de globalização Esta análise terá em consideração as épocas futebolísticas mais recentes.

In a phenomenon that is not new but which has intensified in recent times, the Portuguese football, in particular the national championship has now more foreign players than national. Portugal became one of the European countries where this process has become more evident. This Communication aims to characterize the flow of immigrants of Portuguese football, determining the volume, origin, reactions and consequences of this process, and considering that this phenomenon is determined by the dynamics of globalization. This analysis will take into account the most recent football season.
