A Web como ferramenta para a construção da inteligência coletiva

Abstract

A Web é um fenómeno que tem vindo a ganhar uma importância crescente perante a emergência de novas aplicações, a que se convencionou chamar Web 2.0. Neste ambiente, os internautas são chamados a participar de uma forma ativa na produção de informação, tais como os blogues, as wikis, ou as próprias redes sociais. O objetivo principal deste trabalho é, analisar, numa perspetiva teórica, através da revisão de leitura, de que forma o contributo da Web é um veículo para a construção da inteligência coletiva. Tenta-se também verificar de que forma esta inteligência se estrutura, como se apresenta ao utilizador, e como a utilização de plataformas de colaboração permitem um acesso ao conhecimento entre as pessoas. Procura-se ainda, observar como é que a inteligência coletiva se constrói através de comunidades virtuais, tentando demonstrar de que forma as novas aplicações da Web, comummente referidas como Web 2.0, são capazes de contribuir para a formação de uma rede de informação, uma rede inteligente. A revisão da literatura e a análise dos exemplos selecionados permite concluir que a utilização de ferramentas colaborativas aporta melhorias ao simplificar o processo de comunicação e permitir uma maior interação entre as pessoas, incrementando as possibilidades de colaboração.

The Web is a phenomenon that has gained an increasing importance with the emergence of new applications, conventionally called Web 2.0. In this environment, Internet users are asked to participate in an active form in the production of information such as blogs, wikis, or their own social networks. The main objective of this dissertation is to analyze, in a theoretical perspective, by analyzing the revision of reading, how Web is a contributor and a vehicle for the construction of collective intelligence. It also tries to analyze how this intelligence is structured, how is shown to the user, how the use of collaboration platforms allow access to knowledge between people. We try also to observe how collective intelligence is built through virtual communities, trying to demonstrate how the new Web applications, commonly referred to as Web 2.0, are able to contribute to the formation of an information network, an intelligent network. This dissertation attempts to contribute to the understanding of this phenomenon and suggest that the use of collaborative tools brings improvements to simplify the communication process and allow greater interaction between people, increasing the possibilities of collaboration.
