Produtividade e flexibilização no pré montagem e abastecimento de componentes para os modelos VW Sharon e VW Scirocco

Abstract

This dissertation, which integrates the Industrial Engineering and Management Masters at the University of Coimbra (FCTUC), refers to the internship at Volkswagen Autoeuropa. The presented document consists in studying the feasibility of switching between two areas of the plant, the area of the Kitting for the Profiraum, in order to improve productivity and supply components. The reasons for the change relate mainly to strategic issues to improve the flow and ease the logistical resupply, reducing shipping times of parts to the line. In addition to the mentioned advantages, this is also an opportunity to improve not only ergonomically the station processes, but also to reduce the workload of the operators. The Kitting area consists of two pre assembly stations: one for the rear heaters of the Seat Alhambra and Volkswagen Sharan and another for the guides of the sliding rear doors, also used in the same vans. In this same area there is also an airbag curtains decanting station for all factory models. The Profiraum area is intended for the training of new employees, where the basic principles of the assembly line are explained and some of the processes simulated, based on the training of basic tasks and standardization of work. For the same reason, the study will only focus on three workstations to be transferred, from the Kitting to the Profiraum. Since the Kitting area is substantially greater, there is the possibility that other pre assembly stations may be reallocated also in this area, thus freeing space in the line stations and saving processing time for operator.

A presente dissertação encontra-se inserida no Mestrado de Engenharia e Gestão Industrial da Universidade de Coimbra (FCTUC) é relativa ao período de estágio na Volkswagen Autoeuropa. O documento apresentado consiste no estudo da viabilidade da troca entre duas áreas da fábrica, a área do Kitting pelo Profiraum, por forma a melhorar a produtividade e o abastecimento de componentes. Os motivos da troca prendem-se essencialmente com questões estratégicas, melhorar o fluxo e facilitar o reabastecimento logístico, reduzindo os tempos de envio das peças para a linha. Para além das vantagens mencionadas, trata-se também de uma oportunidade para melhorar não só ergonomicamente os postos de trabalho e os processos, como também diminuir a carga de trabalho dos operadores. A área do Kitting é constituída por dois postos de pré montagem: um de rear heaters (ventiladores traseiros) para as carrinhas Seat Alhambra e Volkswagen Sharan e outro para as guias das portas traseiras deslizantes, utilizadas igualmente nas mesmas carrinhas. Nesta mesma área existe ainda um posto de decantação de cortinas de airbag, para todos os modelos de fábrica. A área do Profiraum destina-se à formação de novos colaboradores, onde são explicados os princípios básicos da linha de montagem e simulados alguns dos processos, com base no treino das tarefas básicas e na standardização do trabalho. Por esse mesmo motivo, o estudo apenas será focado nos três postos de trabalho a transferir, do Kitting para o Profiraum. Sendo que a área Kitting é substancialmente maior, existe ainda a possibilidade de outros postos de pré montagem poderem ser realocados igualmente nesta área, libertando assim espaço das estações da linha e poupando tempo de processo aos operadores.
