Estudo da eficiência energética de casas rotativas - aplicação ao projeto de uma moradia prevista para Coimbra

Abstract

A eficiência energética de edifícios tem sido alvo de uma crescente valorização, conduzindo a diferentes iniciativas. Desde a otimização de soluções construtivas à adoção de equipamentos de climatização mais eficientes, passando pela promoção de energias renováveis. Tem-se verificado uma gradual preocupação em explorar e implementar técnicas passivas de aquecimento e arrefecimento, valorizando-se o clima e meio ambiente em benefício do comportamento térmico e desempenho energético dos edifícios. O presente trabalho enquadra-se nesta preocupação de identificação de medidas de promoção da eficiência energética. Prevê-se, em particular, levar a cabo um estudo que contribua para avaliar o efeito que a rotação de uma casa poderá ter no seu desempenho energético. Para além das características dos vãos envidraçados e de uma orientação adequada dos mesmos, analisa-se em detalhe qual a influência que a eventual rotação da casa e consequente alteração das orientações têm no aumento dos ganhos solares na estação de aquecimento e na redução desses mesmos ganhos na estação de arrefecimento. Numa primeira abordagem, neste estudo determinaram-se os ganhos solares para um vão envidraçado de área unitária admitindo que podia ser fixo ou móvel. O estudo foi realizado em regime sazonal, mas também em regime horário. O modelo de cálculo foi ajustado de seguida para se avaliarem os ganhos solares para um conjunto de três janelas também de área unitária, estando as janelas dispostas em octantes contíguos. Numa fase seguinte realizou-se o estudo das vantagens em termos de ganhos solares de uma casa rotativa projetada para Coimbra, comparativamente à situação em que a mesma estivesse fixa, mantendo todas as restantes características. Adicionalmente, avalia-se ainda qual o efeito do uso de dispositivos de proteção solar e do tipo de vidro. Por último, fez-se o balanço energético da casa, de acordo com as regras de cálculo preconizadas nas normas europeias cujos princípios são também os aplicados na regulamentação nacional, em particular no Regulamento das Características e Comportamento Térmico de Edifícios

The energy efficiency of buildings has been a target of a growing appreciation, leading to many different initiatives. Since the optimization of constructive solutions, implementation of more efficient HVAC equipment, adopting the promotion of renewable energies. There has been a gradual concern to exploring and implement passive techniques of heating and cooling into buildings, in order to valuing the climate and the environment through a best thermal and energy performance of buildings. This work falls into this concern of identification of measures to promote energy efficiency. It is expected, in particular, carry out a study, that will contribute to evaluate the effect of rotation of a house on the energy performance behavior .Beside the characteristics of glazing and proper orientation of the same, will be analyzed in detail the influence that the rotation of the house and consequent amendment of the guidelines have in the increase of the solar gains in the heating season and in the reduce of those gains in the cooling station. For this study, in a first approach were determined the solar gains for a glazing of unit area, assuming that could be fixed or mobile. The study was conducted on a seasonal regime, but also in time regime. The calculation model was then adjusted to evaluate solar gain for a set of three windows also of unit area, being the windows were arranged in contiguous octants. In a next step was performed a study of the advantages in terms of solar gains of a rotating house projected for Coimbra, compared to the situation in which it was fixed, while keeping all other characteristics. Additionally, was evaluated also the effect of the use of solar shading and type of glass. Finally, it was made an energy balance of the house, according to the calculation rules advocated by the European standards, following the principles applied in the national legislation, in particular Regulation Characteristics and Thermal Behavior of Buildings.
