Nowadays, the representation of body, mainly the feminine body, is utilized by the media, particularly the publicity, as important consumption stimulation. Given his expansion in the several social contexts, his presence is almost omnipresent and is becoming a fundamental element in the construction and perception of femininity. In what concerns the women, this «corporeality paradigm» is more evident in the women magazines through the constant and continuous publication of advertisement that are determinant in the construction of social ideas. Those accentuate a beauty pattern and gender asymmetries that contribute for the social discrimination of women, through the dissemination of stereotype representations of what means to be a woman. Therefore, the theoretical approach oh this training report will be anchor on the contributions of the Feminist Theory and has as objectives, to analyze how women understand, interpret and how they settle themselves regarding the media representations of the women presented in publicity. And also, know which imaginary that the advertising campaign appraises about the body and the feminine identity. In any case, it is the media that offer the empirical basic of this training report, especially the feminine Portuguese press, from which was withdraw the corpus of the analyses.
