ABSTRACT Tourism appears as one of the main generators of global revenues, as well as an important strategic sector in our country, at all scales. There is a clear need to plan in order to maximize indigenous resources of each region, consolidating and diversifying the tourist offer at the municipal level and thus promoting sustainability. The Case Study (Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira) is a region marked by the cultural tourism, more specifically, by the street events. The socioeconomic level stands out in its industrial strength, once it is the municipality that exports more, nationally. Its main industries are cork, paper, footwear and metallurgy. Faced with an even more increasingly demand, with more and more distinct tastes, it creates the opportunity for the emergence of new market niches such as the Industrial Tourism. From this fact, this research project aims to investigate the possibility of planning and development of Industrial Tourism in the county, as well as to suggest some ideas for the preparation of a proposed "productization" of resources in this area. For this, we will meet a set of revealing information opportunities and potentials as well as weaknesses and threats to the region, through semi-structured interviews at several stakeholders (entrepreneurial entities of the county, representatives of cultural institutions, tourism coaches, officials and owners representing industries, etc.
