dc.description.abstractO VIH/SIDA representa um desafio a nível mundial, pelo número de pessoas infetadas que se tem vindo a registar nos últimos anos. O flagelo do VIH/SIDA tem afetado cada vez mais mulheres em idade reprodutiva. O presente estudo pretende estudar a qualidade de vida familiar e a satisfação com a vida em contexto angolano. A amostra deste estudo foi constituída por 100 grávidas, sendo 50 com e 50 sem VIH/SIDA. O protocolo de avaliação envolveu um Questionário Sociodemográfico, um Questionário Complementar de Recolha de Dados acerca da Grávida, o Qualidade de Vida (QOL), e a Escala de Satisfação com a Vida (SWLS). Os resultados dos estudos de consistência interna apontam para um alfa de Cronbach adequado tanto para os itens do QOL (.896) como para a SWLS (.787). As principais conclusões do estudo indicam a existência de diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre os dois grupos em diversas áreas da qualidade de vida familiar (e.g., Bem-Estar Financeiro, Casa, Relações Sociais, Família e Conjugalidade e Filhos), bem como na satisfação com a vida. Os resultados alcançados vão ao encontro da literatura, com as grávidas com VIH/SIDA a demonstrarem pior qualidade de vida familiar e uma menor satisfação com a vida. O presente estudo representa os primeiros passos para a realização de mais estudos relacionados com o VIH/SIDA na gravidez em Angola.por
dc.description.abstractHIV/AIDS presents a global challenge, due to the number of people infected verifyed in the last years. The scourge of HIV/AIDS has been affecting more and more women in reproductive age. In the present study we intended to study the family quality of life and the satisfaction with life in Angolan context. The sample used for this study was composed by 100 pregnant women, from which 50 with and 50 without HIV/AIDS. The assessment protocol involved a Socio-Demographic Questionnaire, a Complementally Questionnaire to Collect Data Concerning the Pregnancy, the Quality of Life (QOL), and the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). The results of the internal consistency studies point for an adequate Cronbach’s alpha for the items of QOL (.896) as for SWLS (.787). The main conclusions of the study indicate for the existence of significant statistical differences among both groups in what it concerns to several areas of family quality of life (e.g., Financial Well-Being, Home, Social Relationships, Family and Children). In this sense, the results are in agreement with literature, with the pregnant women with HIV/AIDS showing worse family quality of life and satisfaction with life. The present studie represents the beginning for the accomplishment of more studies in pregnancy wit HIV/AIDS in Angolan context.por
