In the context of order-enriched categories we study right Kan-injectivity and KZ-reflective subcategories. This work starts with the presentation of the concept of right Kan-injectivity. We study classes of morphisms determined by right Kan-injectivity in a category X enriched in the category CPO, of partially order sets and monotonous functions. Among other properties, we show that these classes are closed under composition and contain all right reflective adjoints of X. We also show that they are stable under all those pushouts and multiple pushouts which are jointly epimorphic with respect to the order. We characterize several classes of embeddings of CPO in terms of right Kan-injectivity for certain finite partially ordered sets. We show that the objects and morphisms of a category X that are right Kan-injective with respect to a class of morphisms define a subcategory which, among other properties, is closed to limits that are jointly monomorphic with respect to the order. We verify that Kan-injectivity sets a contravariant Galois connection between the conglomerate of the subcategories of a given category X and the conglomerate of classes of morphisms of X, which leads us to the definition of Kan-injective hull of a subcategory. In a second step we introduce the concept of KZ-reflective subcategory of an order-enriched category X and we find necessary and sufficient conditions, in terms of right Kan-injectivity, for a subcategory of X to be KZ-reflective. We study a type of morphisms with particular relevance in the context of KZ-reflective subcategories, the F-embeddings, where F is the reflector functor. Using this notion we show that a KZ-reflective subcategory closed for right co-reflective adjoints coincides with its Kan-injective hull. This ensures that in order-enriched categories the KZ-reflective subcategories closed to right co-reflective adjoints are closed for jointly order-monic limits. Given a subcategory A of B, both subcategories of X, we relate the Kan-injective hull of A in B with the Kan-injective hull of A in X. We also verify that all KZ-reflective subcategories closed for right co-reflective adjoints coincide with the category of Eilenberg-Moore algebras determined by a Kock-Zöberlein monad in X. Finally, we analyze the concepts and results presented above in two specific categories: the category Top0 of topological spaces satisfying the axiom T0 and continuous functions, and the category RetLoc of frames and functions that preserve finite meets and arbitrary joins. In Top0 we define n-primes open filters, for each cardinal n, and we show that these filters define monads Fn of KZ type in Top0, for which the Fn-embeddings are precisely the embeddings that we designate as n-flat embeddings. For every cardinal n, we get a characterization of the classes of these embeddings in terms of right Kan-injectivity of finite subcategories, and we present a chain, indexed by the class of all cardinals, of KZ-reflective subcategories of Top0, given by the Kan-injective hull of certain finite subcategories of Top0. Their union is the subcategory Sob of sober spaces. Then we obtain a subcategory of Sob whose Kan-injective hull in Top0 and in Sob is the same: the category Sob. After introducing the definitions of right Kan-projectivity, KZ-co-reflectivity and H-quotient, the dual notions of right Kan-injectivity, KZ-reflectivity and F-embedding, we study them in the category RetLoc. In particular, we characterize several types of surjections of RetLoc - that we call n-flat quotients - in terms of right Kan-projectivity for certain small subcategories of RetLoc and we obtain an infinite chain of KZ-co-reflective subcategories of RetLoc whose union is the entire category RetLoc. The characterization of these categories in terms of a generalization of the binary relation " ", usually used in continuous lattices, is presented here. We also found a subcategory of the category RetSp of spatial lattices whose Kan-projective hulls in RetSp and in RetLoc are different: in the former case we obtain RetSp and in the latter one we obtain RetLoc.
