This approach allows the qualifying of interpersonal relationships (i.e., intra-and inter-individual) that occur in the context of collective sports (e.g., 11 player soccer). In this sense, the main objective of this study is to verify to what extent the interactions that arise between players in a soccer game are crucial to the team's success. Thus, apart from notational analysis, we intend to assess whether this collective sports game can be characterized as a "network", where the players interact in a structured and dynamic method. For this extent, we have analysed the offensive intentional actions performed by players and inter-team behaviour, thus identifying athletes who have interacted more with their peers, as well as the circulation and the main connections that emerged from this coordinative structure. Methodology: The sample consisted of the analysis of two games of the professional football team of F.C. Porto, senior level, of the Champions League 2010/2011. In that sense, we have observed the following games: 1) F.C. Porto vs S.L. Benfica, Season 10 (07/11/2010) 2) S.L. Benfica vs F.C. Porto, Season 25 (03/04 / 2011). Procedures: The video shooting of games, coding and subsequent analysis of the actions of the players has been achieved by the company wTVision ®. Subsequently, we have used the game analysis software - Amisco ® to perform a quantitative analysis of the game offensive actions (e.g., passes, ball receptions, shots on goal, crosses, ball rebounds, faults and game collective actions). Using the same software, and in order to perform a qualitative analysis of this study several connectivity inter-team matrices were incorporated (i.e., networks), thus measuring the interpersonal relationships established by players over the two games. Results: The collected data shows that the players occupying the position of centre and middle left back field, were those who performed a greater number of successful interactions. On the other hand, the most influential players of the team were the centre forward (main striker) and right wing. Accordingly, the playing field diagram indicates that the zones of preferential interaction used by players during the offensive phase in the two games were the midfield defence (e.g., 2CE and 2CD) and the lateral aisles of the forward midfield (e.g., 3E, 3D, 4E, 4D, 5D and 5E). Finally, the left backfield and central midfielder emerged as the key players who had the greatest influence in the construction process for the attacking phase of the game and that most contributed to the optimum positioning flow of the team. Discussion and conclusion: The results allow us to conclude that professional soccer teams act as a hybrid and dynamic "network" that emerge from various interpersonal interactions. The links in this network are controlled largely by the actions and movement of key players that have a great influence on the coordinative structure of the team. From this perspective, it appears that the performance of the players should not be assessed only in terms of prospective or retrospective indicators of successful or unsuccessful team actions. Therefore, it is also deemed necessary to examine the collective behaviour and the athletes who influence the most the competitive performance.por
