dc.description.abstract | We proceeded to identify the several variables, in comparison with the perspectives of success or school dropout of the students. We did this based on the sample of the student answers from the 9th grade (N=74) using as an instrument one questionnaire of self-response. The results lead us to believe that there are correlations between the perspectives of continuing education and the school representation and its sense for the future, by the students. In this sense, the positive school representation appears connected with negative attitudes facing school dropout, noting that girls present more positive school representations than boys. On the other hand, considerable associations are established between perspectives of continuing education and school accomplishment, in rates of Mathematics and Portuguese language. The knowledge of the variables that influence the school dropout and the continuation of the studies may contribute to better address the problem of school dropout. In the same way, this allows us to identify the factors that affiliate students to school and will help them to continue their academic careers. | por |
