Thermodynamic properties of liquid carbon tetrafluoride

Abstract

Avaliable thermodynamic data on CF, have been collected and thelr rellabllity examlned. They have been used to calculate the values of the following properties: (1) the enthalpy of vaporizatlon of the llquld from the trlple polnt (89.56 K) to 220 K; (2) the conflguratlonal Internal energy of the liquid and gas at the Saturation vapor pressure, and the adlabatlc compresslblllty of the llquld over the same range; (3) the coefficlent of expanslon of the llquld from the triple polnt to 190 K; (4) the ratio Cp/Cv, the heat capacity at constant volume, the thermal pressure coefficient, and the Isothermal compressibility of the Ilquld from 90 K to the normal boliing polnt (145.16 K).
