Biography
Rita Girão-Silva received her Ph.D. diploma in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications and Electronics) at the University of Coimbra in 2009. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Coimbra, and a researcher at the Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers at Coimbra (INESC Coimbra). Her research areas include routing models, network reliability and network flow models for routing in telecommunications networks, as well as applications of Operational Research techniques to problems in telecommunication networks. She has participated in different research and development projects, including projects of cooperation between university and industry.
